Good Morning Mountain View! Today is Wednesday, December 3rd, day 3.
Tonight is the Mountain View winter band concert. Come and enjoy the first of 3 music department concerts while supporting your friends.
Jazz Band will rehearse today during period 5 in the auditorium. 8th grade - you may eat lunch in the band room before getting your instruments out. Jazz Band members, if you haven’t checked your Schoology course page over break, do it now
7th & 8th grade band will have a combined rehearsal on stage during period 9 flex today.
The next Muslim Student Association meeting will be on Monday, December 8th from 3:30- 4:30pm in room 153. Please arrange for a ride home or sign up for the club bus on Monday morning during homeroom. Hope to see you there!
Listen up chat, the King of the Mountain competition is entering its final days. Mason Shifflet from the sixth grade is still in the lead with 88 words per minute. If you think you have what it takes to beat him, send Mr. Kochara a message on Schoology and he will find a time for you to come down and take the one minute typing test. There is approximately 15 days left, so keep practicing if you want a chance to win. Don’t forget, the winner of the competition gets their choice of a box of chips. This week we are having a spirit week to help raise awareness and show support for children who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Today is PJ Day because grief can make it feel hard to get out of bed. Tomorrow’s spirit day is Twin Day.

Today is Twin Day because you are never alone in your grief. It takes a lot of courage to go to school or work, or do the many other things life requires when someone you love dies. We want our friends or family to know we are proud of them for being so brave.
This Thursday is Children's Grief Awareness Day. Please participate in our spirit week to build awareness for grieving children. Tomorrow’s spirit day is Decade Day.

Today is Decade Day because grief and loss take time. Tomorrow is Children's Grief Awareness Day and in order to show our support for grieving students in our school and community we ask that everyone.
PLEASE WEAR BLUE TOMORROW! Many of us know someone who is grieving, and we want them, and all grieving kids, to know that we support them. It would be amazing if we could get our entire building to create a blue out day with our whole school participating by wearing blue.
Builder's Club will meet on Thursday, 11/20 in the Cafeteria after school. Please wait until Wave #2 to come down to the Cafeteria. We will be completing a service project at the meeting. Remember to sign up for the activity bus or have a family member pick you up at 4:30pm. Any questions message Mrs. Moul or Mrs. Luckenbill.

Today is Children’s Grief Awareness Day. Thank you to all who wore blue and came together to support and encourage our grieving students. Please stop by the Children’s Grief Awareness table outside the counseling office to learn more about CGAD and all the ways you can help show your support today and everyday for students in our building and community who are grieving. To our students who are experiencing a loss, please know we see you, we support you, and we are always here for you. Tomorrow’s spirit day is a mismatch day.
