8th Graders, learn about the CV 9th Grade Football Team by talking to Coach Davis today at your lunch. The coach will talk about conditioning, practice and try outs. Find out more about the program by asking Coach Davis questions.
Attention CV Boys Junior High Wrestlers! Middle School Wrestling begins Friday, November 14th. The first official practice will be on November 14th from 6:00-8:00pm in the High School Wrestling Room. Be sure to have all paperwork completed in Rank One before the season starts.
This is just a reminder that chamber singers do not have rehearsal today. Again, Chamber Singers do not have rehearsal today.
Spellers, get ready for the written spelling bee test! The test will be held on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12th during periods 8 & 9 in the cafeteria. Please make sure to sign up on the Spelling Bee Sign-Up Google Form found in the Spelling Bee Course. This form creates the list that I will share with teachers so that you may be excused from class to come to the cafeteria and take the written test. Any questions? The meeting tomorrow for the Medical Detectives Club is cancelled.
Fellowship of Christian Ambassadors (FCA) will meet after school on Wednesday, November 12th in Mrs. Cattell's classroom, room 154. Be sure to have a ride home at 4:30pm or sign up for the club bus. Hope to see you there!

The cast and crew of Mary Poppins Jr. will be announced on Schoology on November 14th. All cast and crew will be added to the Mountain View Players Schoology group. The first rehearsal for EVERYONE is Tuesday, December 2nd, from 3:35-5:30pm in the auditorium.
Tomorrow the GSA Club will meet during homeroom in room 166 (Art Room). All are welcome to attend.

Auditions for Mary Poppins Jr. begin TODAY! Make sure you know your specific audition day and time. Everyone should arrive in the auditorium promptly at 3:35pm.
The school store will be open Tuesday morning during homeroom on Main Street near the 6th grade wing for 6th grade only. Come check out the items we have for this year. Send Ms. Krishan a Schoology message with any items suggestions you may have. Cash only!
Middle School Girls Basketball Open Gyms will resume tomorrow night at their usual time from 7:00-8:30pm at MV. Tryouts for the team will be held on November 17th and 18th from 3:45-5:45pm. All paperwork must be completed and submitted into Rank One to be eligible to try out. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
There will NOT be a meeting of the Muslim Student Association today. The next meeting will be on Monday, November 17th after school.

Mrs. Klinger and Mrs. Urban will be running this group to help students who have lost a loved one. The group is only for students who have lost a person they were close to and not for the loss of a pet. The group will meet once a week for 6 weeks and do fun activities together that help to celebrate the life of their lost loved one.
The Indoor Color Guard will be hosting open gym tryouts at Hampden Elementary School on November 13th, 18th, 20th, and 25th from 6:00 - 9:00pm. Indoor Color Guard is open to all students grades 6th through 12th. No experience is needed, just come with athletic clothing, water, and a positive attitude! If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Farkas, high school marching band director.

Attention all 7th and 8th graders, are you interested in learning a trade such as welding, robotics, carpentry, nursing, automotive repair, culinary arts, or something else after you graduate from the ninth grade academy? Then you should look at applying to Cumberland Perry Technical School during your ninth grade year.
Tuition is free and you still will get a high school experience because you’ll only spend half the day at Cumberland Perry Technical School. If you are interested, Cumberland Perry Area Technical School will be holding Career Exploration Night from 5-7pm tonight and tomorrow. 7th-11th grade students interested in any of the 22 programs Cumberland Perry Area CTC offers should consider attending the Career Exploration Night. Tour the facility, explore program shops and labs, and meet with program instructors. Registration is not required. All you need to do is show up.
Listen up chat, Edwin “Sigma” Sanchez still reigns supreme as the King of the Mountain. His high score of 85 words per minute still hasn’t been beat. If you think you have the aura to flex on his bussin skills, send Mr. Kochara a message on Schoology and he’ll schedule you a time to compete. No cap. Don’t be salty bruh if you get chopped. Put the fries in the bag, keep practicing, and you can have a glow-up. The grand prize for winning the competition is you get a box of your choice of chips and no, you don’t need to pay the fanum tax. For more information, please see the posters around the school.

Yesterday was a tragic, yet historic day for the King of the Mountain Competition. Just like today’s grilled cheese, Edwin’s record got cooked. Mason “Skibidi” Shifflet of 6th grade proved his skills were peak by scoring 88 words per minute, with 96% accuracy. If you think you have main character energy and can take on Mason, please send Mr. Kochara a message on Schoology. He will schedule you a time to compete. There are still 42 days left in the competition. Don’t forget if you win, you lowkey get to pick a bussin box of chips as a reward for your based glow up.

Eagle of the month announcement:
Each month, our teams recognize students who demonstrate the Portrait of an Eagle competency of the month. For the month of October, our focus was on Communication, the ability to listen actively, express ideas clearly, and collaborate effectively with others. The Portrait of an Eagle Award, is a special recognition given to one student from each grade who demonstrates the POE competency of the month. This month’s focus was Communication, and we’re proud to recognize three outstanding students who truly model this skill. The 6th grade Storm Team recipient shared a communication with teachers that was an important message he heard and is always responsible about letting teachers know when he’ll be missing class for lessons. In 7th grade Wizards Team recipient is kind, works well with classmates who may be struggling, and always checks in on peers in need. And finally, the 8th grade Ocean Team recipient is a kind and thoughtful student who consistently produces excellent work.
All Eagle of the Month and Portrait of an Eagle winners, please report to the office at this time to pick up your certificates and pictures. Congratulations to all our award winners!
