Now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for, here are the results from last week’s King of the Mountain competition. In a stunning turn of events, Mason “The Chef” Shifflet was finally cooked by Levi “Iron Chef” Roth. Levi scored an outstanding 94 words per minute and became the new King of the Mountain. HOWEVER, about 10 minutes later, Kethan “Watch me Cook” Vanaparthi chopped the Iron Chef by scoring an impressive 108 words per minute! With scores as impressive as these, it is still anyone’s game. There is still four days left in the competition before a winner is crowned.
Just a reminder of the rules, if you wish to participate you must send Mr. Kochara a message on Schoology and he will schedule you a time to try out. You can try out each day if Mr. Kochara’s schedule has availability and you get two tries to complete the one minute test each time you try out. The final day for the competition will be December 18th. Whomever has the highest score at the end of the school day will be the winner. In the event of a tie, the two champions will face off the next day on the morning announcements and complete a one minute test. The winner of that competition will be the winner and receive a box of their choice of chips.

When we come back in the new year, let’s start fresh. Bring a positive attitude, be kind to one another, and remember that every new year is a chance to grow, improve, and support the people around us. Small choices—like using kind words, helping a classmate, and doing your best each day—can make a big difference.
Enjoy your break, take care of yourselves, and we can’t wait to see you back here ready to make the new year a great one!
That’s all for today Mountain View, we’ll see you next year!
