Meet the Administration

Hosenfeld

Mr. Hosenfeld was previously the Principal at Good Hope Middle School from 2014-2019, after six years as an Assistant Principal at Cumberland Valley High School.  He holds a bachelor's degree in English (7-12) from Ithaca College, a master's degree in English Education from SUNY Geneseo, and a C.A.G.S. in Educational Administration from UMASS Boston.  

Originally from Rochester, NY, Mr. Hosenfeld began teaching English in 1994, where he also directed the school musicals. In 2000, he relocated to Boston and continued teaching English and directing shows while pursuing his administrative degree.  In 2005, he became Assistant Principal at Stoughton High School in Massachusetts, before relocating to Central Pennsylvania in 2008. 

Mr. Hosenfeld lives in Hershey with his wife and three children, and enjoys music, theatre, camping, board games, and spending time with his family.

Riegel

Mr. Riegel was previously the Assistant Principal at Good Hope Middle School from 2010-2019. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Principal at CV High School for two years, having previously worked in the Carlisle Area School District. During his time in Carlisle Mr. Riegel, worked as an Assistant Principal, Social Studies Teacher, and football and baseball coach. 

Mr. Riegel originally graduated from Shippensburg University with a Criminal Justice degree. He later earned his teaching certificate from Shippensburg University and his Masters in Educational Leadership from McDaniel College. 

Mr. Riegel lives in Hampden Township with his wife and 3 children. During his free time he enjoys time with his family and friends, as well as sports, hunting, and fishing.

Mr. Pierce

Mr. Pierce is honored to serve as an Assistant Principal for Mountain View Middle School. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership -  both from Penn State University.

Mr. Pierce was born and raised a CV Eagle and attended Hampden Elementary, Good Hope MS, and CVHS. After spending the next four years in State College, he returned to teach third through fifth grades at Middlesex Elementary from 2013-2020. He then taught at Monroe Elementary as a third grade teacher and an instructional specialist until 2021. 

Mr. Pierce lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife, their dog Nox, and their cat Cheddar. During his free time he enjoys exploring the mountains and streams of Pennsylvania, fly fishing and fly tying, hunting, and attending a wide variety of Penn State sporting events.

Ms. NyNye Photoe holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Bloomsburg University in Special Education (Prek-8), as well as Elementary Education (Prek-4). Ms. Nye also holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Shippensburg University. 

Ms. Nye has been teaching in the Cumberland Valley School District since 2017. Previously, she taught Special Education at Good Hope Middle School during the  2017-2019 school years, before transitioning to Mountain View Middle School in 2019. Since 2019, Ms. Nye continued to serve as a Special Education Teacher here at Mountain View. In 2022, she transitioned into the roll of  Dean of Students.

Ms. Nye enjoys spending her free time with her family here in Pennsylvania, along with visiting her brother, sister in law and her nephews in Virginia. She also enjoys playing recreational sports with her friends and kayaking to stay active. Ms. Nye is excited to serve the Mountain View staff, students and greater community with the rest of the administration team.
